The Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & THE SPA has appointed Michèle Liebermann Dreier as its new director of sales and marketing. She will take over the position on December 1, 2018. Michèle brings a strong background in sales having spent seven and a half years at Bern’s Congress + Kruskal, the city’s state-of-the-art congress center with its four-star hotel and catering facilities. Michèle graduated from the prestigious Ecole Hotelier Lausanne with a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management. She speaks five languages including English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. She enjoys snowboarding, skiing, traveling and photography. In making the announcement, General Manager Iris Fluckiger said, “with Michèle Liebermann Dreier we have found an experienced and motivated sales executive and we look forward to working together.” Considered the city’s leading luxury hotel for more than 160 years, the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern sits on the edge of the Old Town, an UNESCO World Heritage site and has 99 rooms and suites. Renowned for its wiener schnitzel, the award-winning Jack’s Brasserie has 14 Gault Millau points and its wine list has also been recognized as “Best Swiss Wine List” by Gault Millau. The Sky Terrace offers panoramic views of the city’s rooftops and – new this winter – Tubb, a tunnel-like structure will shelter guests from the wind and weather while they enjoy traditional specialties such as raclette and homemade pumpkin soup. The 5,382-square-foot spa boasts a pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish hammam, Jacuzzi and underwater massage lounges. Other facilities include: the popular Lobby Lounge Bar, Cigar Lounge and an 8,611-square-foot conference centre with 11 rooms, including the legendary Salon Trianon, a ballroom with heritage-listed decor.
