Steven Greenwood has been appointed as Area General Manager at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven Greenwood as Area General Manager of Malaysia with a concurrent appointment as General Manager of InterContinental Kuala Lumpur effective from 1 November 2018. Steven, a hospitality veteran with more than 22 years of experience, was most recently the Area General Manager of Bangkok and General Manager, Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park. Steven joined IHG in 1996 on the company's graduate program at the InterContinental London Park Lane and his career has taken him across multiple regions including the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand. Steven brings a wealth of experience from within the InterContinental Hotels Group, particularly with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, where he has driven great results across key metrics including guest satisfaction, financial performance and service over the years. In his role as Area General Manager Malaysia, Steven will be responsible for driving the financial performance and operations for the Groups hotels in Malaysia, including InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie, Holiday Inn Express Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Holiday Inn Melaka and Holiday Inn Resort Penang. As General Manager for InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, Steven will oversee the operations of the 473-room hotel, located in the golden triangle of the city centre of Kuala Lumpur and within close proximity to the iconic Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
