Brendan Corcoran has been appointed as General Manager at The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort

Marriott International has appointed Brendan Corcoran as general manager of The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort, representing the debut of Westin Hotels and Resorts in the Republic of Maldives.

His industry experience spans over 20 years in a variety of leadership positions. A graduate of the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland, Brendan embarked on his professional journey at the Hilton Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.

From there, Corcoran's passion for embracing new opportunities and experiences saw him take up positions with some of the world's leading hospitality brands, including Marriott International, InterContinental Hotels Group and Per Aquum Hotels and Resorts.

Prior to his appointment at The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort, he was general manager at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, Baa Atoll, Maldives.

He incorporates the skills acquired at the Harvard Business School in the United States to strategically deliver creative and practical solutions to problems in a fast-paced guest environment, spearhead the commercial and operational success of the property, and ensure the resort provides consistently exceptional guest experiences.
