GP began his career as a chef in Perth Australia, he worked in both Culinary and B&F Service, also in Rooms Division before he landed his feet as Hotel Manager / Director of Operations. GP worked in Australia, Malaysia and China with extensive operational experience, he was appointed as Area Director of Operations overseeing Marriott Hotels at North East Asia and North China in 2010 and 2012 respectively.

Prior to joining W Hong Kong, GP was General Manager at JW Marriott Beijing for 5.5 years, his leadership excellence was recognized with awards including The Best General Manager Award by The 7th Annual China Awards by Lifestyle Magazine and General Manager Leadership Excellence Award (Luxury) by Marriott International Greater China, both in 2017.
