Patrick Mohn has been appointed as Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa

Mohn previously worked with Hyatt Regency Tamaya when he joined the team as a culinary intern shortly after his graduation from the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 2005.

Patrick Mohn

Mohn is originally from Waldo Gulch, N.M., a ranch built on an abandoned mining settlement between Madrid and Cerrillos in New Mexico. He first became interested in the culinary field as a young boy watching a local television show that featured a variety of different ways to prepare Cajun food. When Mohn was 14 years old, he started his first job at San Marcos Café in Cerrillos, N.M., where he washed dishes, peeled potatoes, and made lemonade for guests.

As Executive Chef, Mohn is responsible for the conceptual direction of the kitchen, the overall guest experience, ensuring the restaurants are hitting the financial goals of ownership, and mentoring of the next generation of culinarians.

During his previous tenure at Hyatt Regency Tamaya, Mohn received the Hyatt Good Taste Series Silver Medal in 2014, and was awarded Hyatt Regency Tamaya Manager of the Year in 2015.
