Yann Gillet has been appointed as General Manager at Hotel Martinez

The Hyatt Group has appointed Yann Gillet as the new general manager of the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, France.

The 49-year-old Bordeaux native has a BTS degree in Hotel Management from the Paris Hotel School/Lycée Jean Drouant, a Master's 1 degree from the Strasbourg Hotel School, and a DESS (Master's 2) degree in Finance from the IAE de Paris business school.

Gillet joined the Hyatt Group in 2002, serving as hotel manager at the Hyatt Regency Casablanca until 2007, and then as general manager of the Hyatt Regency Johannesburg until 2011. He moved to India in the same capacity, serving at the Park Hyatt Chennai until 2013 and then at Hyatt Regency Paris - Charles de Gaulle until 2016. Since then, he has taken on the role of general manager at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo.Gillet will take up his position at the Hôtel Martinez on July 15, replacing Alessandro Cresta, who is taking over management of the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, another property in the portfolio of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
