Cenk Unverdi has been promoted to Regional General Manager UAE Properties at Rixos Hotels
Unverdi will now oversee all day-to-day operations of the five-star Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites, Rixos Premium Dubai, Rixos Saadiyat Island and Rixos Bab Al Bahr.
This promotion closely follows Unverdi's appointment to cluster general manager of Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotels & Suites and Rixos Premium Dubai in 2018, following a succession of key achievements since moving to the UAE with Rixos Hotels in 2012.
He assisted with the pre-opening of Rixos The Palm Dubai as operations manager and led the restructuring of Rixos the Palm Dubai as it transitioned into the UAE's first luxury multi-concept resort in 2016. He was then assigned the role of project leader for the pre-opening of Rixos Premium Dubai in 2017.
Under Unverdi's leadership, all four Rixos UAE properties were recognised by the World Travel Awards in April 2019. Rixos The Palm Dubai was awarded the 'Middle East's Leading Lifestyle Resort'; Rixos Premium Dubai won 'Middle East Leading Landmark Hotel'; Rixos Saadiyat Island picked up the title of 'Middle East Leading New Resort 2019'; and Rixos Bab Al Bahr earned the title of 'Middle East Leading All-Inclusive Resort'.
