Stefan Thumiger has been appointed as General Manager at Salalah Rotana Resort
Thumiger who has more than 35 years' experience started working with Rotana Hotels on 7 July 2019.
A Swiss national with Australian citizenship, Thumigers hospitality journey began in the F&B department, as an apprentice chef in a hotel in Switzerland.
He holds a degree in Federal Chartered Hotelier/Caterer HF/SHL from the Swiss hotel and catering school in Lucerne, Switzerland.
In addition to that, Thumiger earned certificates in marketing strategy, hotel revenue management, financial management hotel real estate investments and asset management from Cornell University, USA.
Stefan Thumiger is an alumnus of SHL Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern – Class of 1990.
