Michael Levine has been appointed as Chef de Cuisine at The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa
20|Twenty, located in the recently unveiled Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa, is proud to appoint Michael Levine as the Chef de Cuisine. Chef Michael brings more than 11 years of culinary experience to 20|Twenty specializing in globally inspired and seasonably-sourced fare.
Self-taught, Chef Michael is inspired by the abundance of fresh, local ingredients available year- round in Southern California and aims to incorporate sustainable elements into his cuisine whenever possible.
In addition to his focus on sustainable cooking, Chef Michael offers a vast background in culinary leadership and team building. He has lived in San Diego for 15 years, where he most recently led the flame at Union Kitchen and Tap in Encinitas, CA.
As the Chef de Cuisine at 20|Twenty, Chef Michael will assist Executive Chef Julian Quiñones in keeping the international-inspired menu elevated and regionally focused. 20|Twenty offers guests international flavors, seasonal ingredients, and seascape views paired with creative cocktails, old and new world wines, and an array of local and international craft beers.
