David Lance has been appointed as General Manager at Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi
Lance has been part of Marriott International for 16 years and brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to his new role.
In this role, Lance will oversee the management and operations of the five-star property in within Khalifa City.
Prior to this role, the Australian led the teams at Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi by achieving growth in revenue per available room (RevPAR) and exceeding budgeted gross operating profit (GOP) while acing brand standard audit scores.
He began his career at Sydney Marriott Hotel in 2003, where he worked as a duty and front office manager. Three years later, he joined Mayfair, Bangkok - Marriott Executive Apartments as executive assistant manager followed by two years as director of operations at the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach.
In 2011, Lance became the general manager at Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok - Marriott Executive Apartments, where he worked for three years before moving to the United Arab Emirates in 2015.
In addition to supervising operations and managing hotel staff, he will continue to ensure guest satisfaction, he will also focus on maintaining high standards of quality and service at the property and look into the various ways to enhance guest experience.
