Lysimachos Drakos has been appointed as Executive Chef at Gennadi Grand Resort
Gennadi Grand Resort, part of the family-owned boutique hotel group Lindos Hotels based in Rhodes, is delighted to announce the appointment of Lysimachos Drakos as Executive Chef ahead of their reopening in summer 2021.
Born and raised in Rhodes, Mr Drakos found his passion for cooking at an early age, taking inspiration from both Mediterranean and central European style cuisine as he grew up surrounded by both Greek and Austrian culture derived from his parents. After earning a degree in Food Engineering and Food Quality Management from the University of Applied Sciences of Lipee&Hoxter, and attending culinary schools in both Germany and Greece, Mr Drakos went on to work in a variety of European restaurants, gaining invaluable experience. For the last ten years, Mr Drakos has worked as a chef in some of Rhodes' most luxurious hotels, including Aquagrand Exclusive Deluxe Resort, Lindian Village and Mitsis Summer Palace Beach Hotel. Furthermore, Mr Drakos is a consultant chef for a variety of establishments on the island, including Alter Ego and Kontiki restaurant, showing a wide breadth of hospitality industry experience.
