Ryan Thompson

Makeready, a hotel, restaurant and retail operator and management company, announced today that Ryan Thompson has been named director of sales and marketing for The Alida. Thompson joins the group after serving as national accounts director for Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa.

As director of sales and marketing, Thompson will be responsible for developing and implementing The Alida's overall sales and marketing strategy including multi-channel new customer growth generation, brand positioning, public relations, competitive analysis and partnership marketing. Thompson will work closely with the Makeready leadership team to build a first-class sales and marketing strategy that emphasizes the unique attributes of the hotel and specialty consumer experiences available to attract and acquire new guests and group stays.

Thompson joins Makeready with his more than 17 years of strategic sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry. Thompson joins The Alida from the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa, where he served as national account director leading their sales efforts including lead response, site inspections, contract negotiations, onsite relationship building and customer satisfaction. Additionally, Thompson's experience in the hospitality industry extends through his senior sales roles where he previously served as director of group sales for Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, national accounts director for Turnberry Isle Miami, group sales manager for Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island and tournament sales director for The Heritage Collection on Hilton Head Island.
