Ryan Macdonald has joined Hotel Sorrento as Managing Director
Hotel Sorrento, the landmarked 111-year old hotel in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood, has recently reopened with a new managing director, Ryan MacDonald. MacDonald will oversee all day-to-day operations for the 76-room hotel and coastal Italian-inspired STELLA restaurant, as well implement a robust calendar of onsite programming, events and happenings throughout the year.
MacDonald joins the Hotel Sorrento team from Intercontinental Hotels Group, serving as Complex General Manager for EVEN Hotels and Staybridge Suites in Seattle. Prior to that, he was the Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants in the Seattle market for over five years, responsible for impressive revenue growth and leading a consistently growing team of sales, catering managers and conferencing services. He is known for bringing inven tive and creative guest offerings and programming to each hotel team he works with, generating buzz and ensuring a one-of-a-kind guest experience.
MacDonald was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has called Seattle home for the past 10 years. When he's not a t the hotel, he enjoys sailing with his partner in the Puget Sound, traveling and walking his rescue dog, Mateo.
