Sheri Morgan Muskin has been appointed General Manager of Miraval Austin, the award-winning wellness destination located in the heart of Texas Hill Country. In this new role, Sheri brings more than 35 years of hospitality experience to Miraval Austin and will continue to uphold the destination spa's status as a leader in wellness travel.
Sheri's passion for hospitality is deeply rooted in interpersonal connection, and since joining Miraval Arizona as Resort Manger in 2017, she has embodied this philosophy by establishing personal relationships with Miraval resort guests and creating bonds that persist beyond check-in and check-out. She will continue to lead with a human-first approach as General Manager of Miraval Austin and ensure that the operations and guest experiences faithfully reflect the brand's mission of championing mindfulness and a life in balance.
Sheri plans to introduce key leadership initiatives and support upcoming special events at Miraval Austin, including pioneering a monthly leadership series for colleagues which focuses on empathy, support, and mental wellbeing. Additionally, she plans to support the Miraval brand's partnership with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) with staff sessions, tools, volunteer opportunities, and by hosting Thought-Leaders for Miraval Austin guests.
Sheri fell in love with hospitality in 1986 after serving as a Dining Room Manager at Houlihan's Restaurant and Bar in Lake Grove, NY. In 1994, she joined Hyatt Charlotte as Director of Catering & Convention Services at Hyatt Charlotte, subsequently serving in the same role at other properties including Hyatt Regency Cambridge, Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport and Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
