Hannes Portmann has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Cabot in Toronto

Cabot, the developer and operator of master-planned golf resort communities, announced today that Hannes Portmann has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, commencing late January 2022. In this role, Portmann will oversee company and property-level finances and manage accounting, strategic planning, and corporate strategy.
A seasoned executive with significant management and capital market experience, Portmann most recently served as Chief Financial Officer & Business Development at Marathon Gold Corporation. Prior, he spent ten years with New Gold Inc., where he moved into progressively more senior roles, ultimately serving as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to New Gold, Portmann was a member of the Merrill Lynch investment banking team and the assurance and advisory practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Portmann is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Queen's University and a Master of Management and Professional Accounting from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of SilverCrest Metals Inc.
