Weng Aow has been appointed as Managing Director at Dara Hotels
The Cambodia-based Dara Hotels Group has appointed Weng Aow as Managing Director.
Weng worked previously as General Manager of the Dara Airport City Hotel & Spa, the flagship hotel of Dara Hotels Group in Phnom Penh.
He has over 29 years of experience working in the hospitality industry and began his career at the world-famous Raffles Singapore and has worked in the finance and rooms divisions, moving up the ranks to become a General Manager.
Weng has also worked in different hospitality brands before joining Dara Hotels Group including Novotel Phuket Phokeethra & Ibis Styles Phuket of Accor Hotels, Soluxe Hospitality Group, Sokha Hotels & Resort and Angkor Palace Resort & Spa.
As the Managing Director, Weng will focus on developing and executing the group's country-wide consumer strategy, property management, revenue management and its organizational development.
He will also be responsible for the strategic growth of Dara Hotels Group's 4 hospitality brands, 2 premium serviced apartment brands and its Fitness and Spa brand.
A Singapore national, Weng speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Outside the realm of work, he is passionate about reading, and jogging with focus on half marathons.
