Lisa Timbo has been appointed as Area General Manager at Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk
Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk proudly announces the appointment of Lisa Timbo to Area General Manager. A Midwest native and leadership expert, Timbo brings over 30 years of hotel industry experience to Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk and the Marriott family of hotels.
Timbo began her hotel career in food and beverage at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, where she worked her way up to hold multiple leadership positions at the Chicago Marriott Suites Deerfield, Chicago Marriott Oak Brook, Livonia Marriott, The Dearborn Inn, and the Chicago Marriott O'Hare. In early 2000, Timbo was promoted to General Manager of Chicago Marriott O'Hare Suites and as her career progressed, she became Area General Manager - Revenue for the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook, Area General Manager for the Chicago Marriott O'Hare, General Manager for the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, General Manager for the JW Marriott Chicago, Marketing Vice President for the Midwest and most recently Area General Manager for The Westin O'Hare and the Midwest.
Today, Timbo is the Area General Manager for Chicago and specifically Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. As Area General Manager, she will support the following hotels in Chicago: Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, JW Marriott Chicago, The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago, The Westin Chicago River North, Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel, W Chicago - Lakeshore, W Chicago - City Center and The Westin O'Hare.
In her new role, Timbo is responsible to actively participate and execute strategy to exceed guests' satisfaction, foster a positive work environment for team members and develop a leadership team for financial success. She has a passion for collaboration, providing inspiring service and experiences, and desire to help remove obstacles for her hotel teams to drive strong results.
