Michael Schmitt has been appointed as General Manager at Conrad Dubai
Conrad Dubai has appointed Michael Schmitt as general manager. He joins from Waldorf Astoria Chengdu in China.
Before the Waldorf Astoria Chengdu, Schmitt was GM of Conrad Xiamen, China, where he was responsible for the pre-opening period and positioning the hotel as Xiamen and Fujian Province's leading luxury hotel.
His first GM role was at Hilton Adelaide 2010, moving to Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa in 2012 and later to Conrad Dalian and Hilton Dalian in China.
He said he goes by his late grandma's motto 'above the clouds is always sunshine'.
