Tony Ovalle has been appointed as Sales Manager at Ambassador Chicago, a JDV by Hyatt Hotel
Ambassador Chicago, a JDV by Hyatt Hotel, announces the appointment of Tony Ovalle to sales manager. Ovalle brings nearly seven years of experience in hospitality management and back-of-house operations. In his role at Ambassador, Ovalle will oversee all things social - from weddings, special events, associations, and sports.
Prior to joining Ambassador Chicago, Ovalle worked for neighboring Gold Coast property Claridge House and was a part of the opening team at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. According to Ovalle, he chose a career in hospitality because it aligned with his interests and passions outside of work, allowing him to explore his love of travel and dancing.
Ovalle is a proud native of Chicago's Avondale community and received a bachelor's degree in marketing and minor in economics from DePaul University. He has been a dancer for 15 years and teaches at a North Center studio directing their Latin dance program. Additionally, Ovalle has been involved with various charitable efforts including The Rainbow Project, Inc. and Jingle Bell Run 5K. Fun fact about Tony: he is a seven-time participant in Chicago's annual Polar Plunge which benefits Special Olympics Chicago athletes.
