Peter Waxon has been appointed as Group Sales Manager at Hyatt Centric Las Olas
The executive team at Hyatt Centric Las Olas is pleased to welcome Peter Waxon as group sales manager. In his new role, Waxon will coordinate the daily operations of the group sales program with a focus on building relationships with potential clients in order to drive group business to the hotel.
Waxon brings with him more than 20 years of extensive experience in the sales and hospitality industries, most recently serving as the senior sales group manager at Fort Lauderdale Marriott North. During his eight-year tenure there, he was responsible for securing group sales in the corporate, government and sports market segments, maximizing revenues and profits and identifying qualifying new business leads. Prior to that, he held various sales positions among several hotel brands in the Greater Fort Lauderdale area including The Westin Fort Lauderdale, Westin Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale and Il Lugano Hotel & Residences.
Waxon has had a dynamic sales management career to-date, consistently leading by example with a proven ability to generate compelling sales and marketing strategies to drive business year-over-year. A longtime South Florida resident, he enjoys traveling, kayaking, fishing and spending time with his wife, Raquel and Jack Russel Terrier, Jagger.
Peter Waxon is an alumnus of Florida International University – Class of 1991.
