Alice Stancanelli has been appointed as Pastry Chef at Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam

The 30-year-old Alice Stancanelli is the new Pastry Chef of Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam. The Italian pastry chef has more than ten years of experience in the patisserie. Before Stancanelli moved to the Netherlands, she worked for various star restaurants in, among others, Switzerland and Italy.

Stancanelli previously held the position of Head Pastry Chef at the hotel Vitznauerof and two-star restaurant Sens in Vitznau, Switzerland. Here she combined traditional techniques with modern refinement. In Switzerland, she has also worked in the one-star restaurant Guarda Val and the two-star restaurant Bad Ragaz. She also held the position of Pastry Chef in Italy at the one-star restaurant I Tigli in Theoria. Here Stancanelli devoted herself to studying and mastering the local cuisine. Stancanelli also gained experience with the Belgian market leader of pralines and chocolate 'Valentino Chocolatier' and the French supermarket chain Auchan. Here she implemented a number of valuable innovations in the recipes of classic products of the French chain.
