Abhishek Pillai has been appointed as Pastry Chef at The St. Regis Atlanta
Atlanta's premier in-town resort, The St. Regis Atlanta, is pleased to announce the hiring of Abhishek Pillai as Pastry Chef. Effective immediately, Pillai will focus his talents on plated desserts, afternoon tea, personalized amenities and creating innovative parties for The St. Regis luminaries.
With a career spanning more than 15 years, two continents and five different countries, Abhishek Pillai brings a global resume to his role of Pastry Chef at The St. Regis Atlanta. Pillai began his culinary career in 2007 as a baker trainee, becoming head baker within four years at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. Upon being selected for an elite kitchen executive training program, Pillai was offered a role as Pastry Junior Sous Chef at the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel in India.
Over the next eight years, Pillai executed his talents at several luxury properties including the majestic Ritz-Carlton Riyadh, Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas, and Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi while also opening three pastry shops across the World.
