Antoine Moinard

The newly launched hospitality arm of Zeppelin Development, the Denver-based, family-owned firm acclaimed for River North Art District projects like The Source Hotel + Market Hall, Zeppelin Station and 28-acre TAXI community, has announced industry veteran Antoine Moinard as its new director of hospitality. In that role, Moinard is overseeing Zeppelin Hospitality's two upcoming Colorado property launches — 31-cabin A-Frame Club in Winter Park and 16-key The Western Hotel & Spa in Ouray — as well as setting the tone for the group's future hotel ventures.

Moinard, who has been in a director role at The Source Hotel in Denver since 2018, was born and raised on a former vineyard owned by his grandfather in Charrais, France. He credits his large family - full of wonderful cooks - for influencing his passion for great food, wine and hospitality. As a child, Moinard got his first taste of the business during summers spent working at family-owned restaurants in both the South of France and on the French Atlantic Coast. After graduating with a BS in Business and Logistics in 2002, Moinard relocated to Cork, Ireland, where he worked his way up from washing dishes to becoming a top restaurant's lead server, all while learning English.

After honing his skills in Ireland, Moinard spent time as the food and beverage cost controller for the Club Med in Val d'Isere, France. He eventually relocated to L'Escala, Spain to assist a relative in opening a seaside restaurant before segueing into bartending, a journey that saw him vagabonding his way through tony Barcelona nightclubs and popular beach clubs in the French Caribbean. In 2010, Moinard relocated to Colorado and found work at the landmark St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, where he refined his service and sommelier skills as assistant general manager of Jill's. From there, he found his way to Denver and The Source Hotel as food and beverage director, a position that allowed him to grow exponentially and ultimately align himself for the advancement opportunity with Zeppelin Hospitality.
