Hilton has named Senih Geray general manager of the new 263-room Waldorf Astoria Washington DC. Elegantly restored to its historic grandeur, Washington's iconic Old Post Office has been reimagined as Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, and under Geray's leadership, brings unforgettable experiences to guests visiting the Pennsylvania Avenue hotel. Previously, Geray served as general manager of The St. Regis New York and Residences.
With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Geray started his career as a guest service agent at Sheraton Grande Torrey Pines before transitioning to financial controller at The St. Regis New York. Over the past two decades, he has held the position of general manager at Sheraton Voyager Antalya Hotel, Resort & Spa in Turkey, The St. Regis Aspen Resort and Residence and The St. Regis Atlanta and Residences before returning to New York City. Throughout his career, his teams have won numerous accolades, including Forbes Five Stars, AAA Five Diamonds and #1 hotel in the destination on TripAdvisor.
With a passion for growing talent in the hospitality industry, Geray is a repeat guest speaker at the Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State University and Jonathan Tisch Center of Hospitality at New York University where he provides key industry insights to students.
Geray holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the United States International University in London and continued his education with studies in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
