Glenn Bowie has been appointed as General Manager at Westin Nova Scotian

Guido Kerpel, COO of New Castle Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel owner, operator and developer, announces that Glenn Bowie has been named general manager of the Westin Nova Scotian. Bowie has worked with New Castle for more than 25 years and most recently served as the area director of sales and marketing for the company's Canadian Division. In that role, Mr. Bowie was responsible for the leadership and overall direction of sales and catering for six of New Castle's Canadian properties.

Before he served as the area director of sales and marketing for New Castle, Mr. Bowie spent 12 years in the sales department of the Westin Nova Scotian. He was the area director of sales, director of sales and director of corporate sales. He began his career in the hospitality industry as a bellman and concierge at the Sheraton Halifax.

Mr. Bowie received his Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) Degree from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is an active leader in the national association of Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada and is/was a key contributor to some of the most successful area charities, including Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Halifax Ribfest and One Hundred Men Who Give a Damn. Mr. Bowie is the recipient of many professional awards and accolades, including New Castle's top salesperson and Leader of the Year.
