Maram Kokandi has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel & Convention

Maram Kokandi, the first-ever female general manager from Saudi Arabia, has moved to IHG Hotels & Resorts. Kokandi made history in 2020 when she became GM at Park Inn by Radisson Jeddah Madinah Road, using the role to inspire countless young Saudi women. She has now moved to Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel & Convention as hotel manager.

Kokandi's story was shared and celebrated by the Kingdom's Ministry of Tourism. The Ministry's video of Kokandi, showed her reflecting on her career, showing her unwavering drive to keep pushing forward.

In 2006, Kokandi worked as a sales manager for Rosewood in Jeddah, later heading to Dubai to be area sales manager at Raffles, particularly focusing on the Saudi market. She later returned to Jeddah as a sales manager with Park Hyatt.

Maram Kokandi is an alumnus of Cardiff Metropolitan University (UWIC) – Class of 2015.
