Hyatt Regency Lake Washington, a 347- room property just south of Seattle on the shores of Lake Washington, is delighted to announce the appointment of Victor Diaz as Director of Operations. Diaz will oversee the processes of the Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions, bringing his experience to create an engaging experience for all guests at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington.

Diaz will manage the operations of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Spa at the Lake and will supervise the hotel's on-site Food and Beverage outlets; Water's Table, Dock & Drink and The Market. He will also oversee the launch of the Sip Lounge, a new food and beverage offering, where guests can enjoy wine, whisky and beer from regional producers with special food pairings. This new venue concept is primed to open October this year, bringing the tasting room experience closer to area. Diaz is known for his leadership in operational excellence, passion for quality service and ability to work in a quick changing environment. He has an outstanding track record of improving guest satisfaction while managing multiple departments, a skill he will be bringing to his new role at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington. With his experience and leadership, Diaz will be fostering positive team engagement and developing strong business partnerships with local and national suppliers.

Diaz brings 15 years of experience in hospitality to his new role at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington. Prior to becoming the Director of Operations, he has worked in world renowned resorts, as well as multiple properties in the Hyatt portfolio. Diaz began his professional career as a Front Office manager in two hotels in Puerto Rico where he oversaw day-to-day operations while managing guest relations. Following that, he moved up in hospitality positions including Assistant Front Office Manager at Grand Hyatt New York, Executive Housekeeper at Hyatt Regency New Brunswick and Hyatt Regency Dallas then most recently, Assistant Director of Operations at Grand Hyatt San Diego.

Having grown up in Dorado, Puerto Rico, Diaz graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Arts in humanities and foreign languages. Over the years, Diaz has simultaneously chased his love for food and wine, becoming a student at the Court of Master Sommeliers with aims to receive his Sommelier Certification. When not working, Diaz enjoys doing CrossFit and watches FC Bayern Munich soccer games with his wife Irene and two daughters Isabel and Sofia.
