Bassem Zakaria has been promoted to Cluster General Manager at Dusit's Dubai Hotels
Dusit International's Bassem Zakaria has been promoted to lead two of the company's Dubai hotels. Zakaria was previously GM for Dusit D2 Kenz Dubai since 2018.
As cluster GM, he now takes on operations for 237 keys, five outlets and a number of recreational facilities at his existing hotel; along with another 146 keys and outlet at the Dusit Princess which he helped open.
With two decades of hospitality experience, Zakaria started as a front desk agent in France with Hilton in 2001, moving to Dubai in 2003 in the same role. Staying with Hilton, he later became sales executive for the area sales office in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
He then worked with Rotana for close to 10 years, starting as an area sales manager, moving up to roles such as DOSM in Al Ain Rotana and then director of rooms and deputy GM with The Cove Rotana Resort in the northern emirate.
By 2016, he was with Millennium Corniche Abu Dhabi as resident manager, promptly promoted up to GM of KingsGate Hotel Abu Dhabi by Millennium 11 months later.
