Tim Barton has been appointed Sustainability Coordinator at St Julien Hotel & Spa
St Julien Hotel & Spa announces the appointment of Tim Barton as sustainability coordinator - a new position at the Boulder, Colo. property, furthering its eco-friendly practices, product-use and more.
Prior to joining the St Julien team, Barton was a naturalist at the Seacoast Science Center, a non-profit marine science education organization in Rye, N.H. His background includes knowledge on environmental economics - the intersection of business and sustainability (remaining profitable while still being a beacon of sustainability); contemporary conservation issues, including recycling systems and day-to-day waste reduction best practices; and environmental policy.
In his new role, Barton will lead the hotel's in-house Green Team, which sets and achieves various environmental goals, including minimizing overall waste, as well as utilizing eco-friendly products and practices at each of the hotel's outlets - from spa to dining.
