Moustafa Sakr has been appointed Area General Manager at Marriott Luxury properties in Abu Dhabi
One of the most respected names in Abu Dhabi hospitality - Moustafa Sakr - has been given a massive promotion. Sakr is now area GM of luxury hotels and resorts in Abu Dhabi for Marriott International.
This puts him in charge of The St. Regis Abu Dhabi and area general manager of The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort and Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, The Abu Dhabi EDITION, W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island, The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa and The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, Marriott Downtown, Marriott Executive Apartments and Courtyard by Marriott - World Trade Center. In total, he now leads 10 hotels.
He is held in incredibly high regard at Marriott, seen as one of the "region's most impressive and monumental hospitality talents," said the group in a statement. His promotion comes as he successfully steered his three hotels through the pandemic and now back into profitability.
