Timothy Groeneweg

Timothy Groeneweg is the new director of food and beverage at Raffles The Palm Dubai. He has a proven track record in managing large F&B operations and is looking forward to reinventing the food and beverage offerings at the resort.

Groeneweg's journey in the hospitality industry started almost 20 years ago when he enrolled at the Hotel School Amsterdam, where he spent three years specialising in hospitality management. He then went on to open his own business, 't Hert', a bar-brasserie in Amsterdam.

Thanks to his entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership, Groeneweg secured managerial positions in several well-known establishments in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha. His experience across the region has allowed him to implement new concepts diversifying the food and beverage scene. He has won several accolades, such as the 'Restaurant Manager of the Year' by Caterer Middle East in 2015. Before joining Raffles The Palm, he led the food and beverage team at W Doha as F&B Director. In this role, he developed new concepts, many of which won industry accolades.
