Dan Smith has been promoted to EVP of Owner Success at First Hospitality
David Duncan, president and CEO of First Hospitality, national hotel operations and development company, announces the promotion of Dan Smith to executive vice president of owner success. Smith, who joined First Hospitality in 2005 as vice president of management services, was named senior vice president of asset management in 2016. In his new role, Smith will oversee First Hospitality's overall business development activities for all third-party management business and continue to lead owner relations.
A hospitality veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Smith has extensive expertise in all aspects of hotel operations and revenue generation. He has won several industry awards, operating hotels to the top of their brands' performance metrics. Past leadership positions include general manager at several hotels such as Holiday Inns, Hampton Inn & Suites, and Indian Lakes Resort.
At home, Smith enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, fishing, and refurbishing old woodwork. He and his wife Yvette have five children.
