Josef Filser has been promoted to Head of Germany Hospitality Team at Cushman & Wakefield in Germany

Josef Filser has taken over as Head of Hospitality Germany at Cushman & Wakefield. In this new role, he is responsible for all transactions and lettings as well as strategic advisory mandates for the international real estate consultancy's Hospitality division in Germany. The 36-year-old reports to Alexander Kropf, Head of Capital Markets Germany at C&W, and succeeds Stefan Giesemann, who has left the company.

Josef Filser promoted to Head of Hospitality Germany

The proven hotel expert has more than ten years' experience in hotel consulting and joined C&W in 2020. He spent eight years with JLL first in London and then, for five years, in Munich.

Josef, a graduate of the renowned EHL Hospitality Business School, recently conducted the sale of a Munich B&B hotel with 135 rooms by Al Zayani Investments, Bahrain, to Abrdn Investments Germany for C&W on the seller's side. He also advised on the acquisition of Bierwirth & Kluth Hotel Management, one of the leading hotel operators in the DACH region, by the Borealis Hotel Group.
