Nour Laasri

Nour Laasri has been appointed Marriott International's new Area General Manager, Houston, and General Manager for Marriott Marquis Houston. In his role as General Manager, Laasri will act as the primary strategic leader for the 1,000-room Marriott Marquis Houston. He will oversee the success of all day-to-day operations, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, and guest & employee satisfaction strategies. As Area General Manager, Laasri will serve as an active member of the Houston community and will help the hotel team foster deeper relationships with local officials and businesses in the area.

Laasri's hospitality career spans nearly four decades with Marriott International. He's worked in various leadership roles at the company, including Food and Beverage, Operations, and Franchise Operations. For ten years, Laasri served as General Manager at the Dallas/Fort Worth Marriott Solana, Dallas Marriott City Center, and the Marriott St. Louis Grand. Most recently, Laasri was the Area General Manager, Pennsylvania and General Manager, Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. A leader in the hospitality community, Laasri has prioritized collaboration with others in the industry, joining forces to enhance the cities in which his hotels are based. He's looking forward to doing his part to elevate the city of Houston and the Marriott Marquis' downtown campus.

Laasri will leverage his revenue management and sales experience to help lead the Marriott Marquis Houston into 2023 and beyond. He'll also work closely with the hotel's exceptional culinary team, led by Bernard Hamburger, Director of Food & Beverage, as they elevate Marriott Marquis Houston's extensive dining program.
