Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is pleased to announce the executive appointment of Matthew Bennink as Executive Chef of Shangri-La Singapore.

Executive Chef Matthew Bennink joins the first Shangri-La hotel in the world from Jing An Shangri-La Shanghai, where he helmed the position of Executive Chef, looking after eight restaurants and bars. A veteran chef with over 23 years of culinary experience across various international cities including spending more than 15 years with different Shangri-La properties. The Australian national brings to the table, a wealth of culinary knowledge, a strong understanding of the brand's culinary culture and a proven track record in overseeing large scale culinary operations that are quality driven.

In his capacity as Executive Chef, Matthew will play an integral role in overseeing the daily kitchen operations and culinary management across the hotel's 11 dining concepts including its One-Michelin starred Shang Palace, banquet catering functions, as well as its food safety management system.
