Giacomo Puntel has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Rixos Bab Al Bahr
Giacomo Puntel has left Anantara after seven years and is now hotel manager of Rixos Bab Al Bahr on Marjan Island. He recently served as resort manager of Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort, successfully opening the first hotel on the World Islands project.
Puntel had previously served as director of F&B of the nearby Anantara The Palm Dubai, located 15 minutes by boat from the World Island property. Now in Ras Al Khaimah, it marks a return for Puntel to Rixos, having served as director of F&B in Dubai between 2015 and 2015.
Before that, he was F&B manager at the Bonnington Hotel in JLT (soon to be reflagged as a voco). From 2008 to 2010, he was assistant director of F&B at Grand Millennium Dubai. While his first Dubai job was with Grosvenor House Hotel as assistant F&B manager.
The Italian spent several years in London, working as part of the restaurant management team at The Connaught Hotel and representing Gordon Ramsey Holdings for five years.
