David Ecija has been appointed as General Manager at The Beverly Hilton
The Beverly Hilton is pleased to announce the appointment of David Ecija as General Manager of the iconic, 566-room hotel in Beverly Hills. A driven hospitality leader, in his new role, Ecija oversees all aspects of the landmark hotel's day-to-day operations, streamlines guest experiences, implements strategic sales and marketing initiatives and executes the hotel's numerous high-profile events, galas and conferences. With unparalleled expertise and masterful leadership skills, Ecija will lead the hotel into the future of the travel and hospitality space - while continuing to uphold the storied legacy of the hotel and deliver the highest standard of hospitality for guests. Ecija joins The Beverly Hilton from Hilton West Palm Beach and The Ray Hotel, Delray Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton in Florida where he served as cluster general manager.
Ecija brings a vast knowledge of hospitality and over 20 years of industry experience to The Beverly Hilton. In his new position, Ecija looks to implement his breadth of hospitality expertise within his new team, placing an emphasis on motivating team members to deliver unmatched results in all departments. As General Manager of The Beverly Hilton, Ecija oversees the myriad of upscale events in the most technologically advanced meeting space of its kind. The hotel's renowned International Ballroom plays host to glamorous annual events including the Golden Globe Awards Show, Oscar Nominee Luncheon, Pre-GRAMMYs Gala, and the Milken Institute's Global Conference.
In his previous position, Ecija successfully managed and delivered top-notch guest experiences for these two hotels while navigating a changing industry environment. Ecija's experience also includes international management and hotel operations positions with Hilton throughout Europe, including General Manager roles at Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa and Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona, Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok and Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi, among others.
Ecija holds a Hotel Management Degree from Polytechnic University in Madrid, Spain, and has a passion for travel and hospitality. He has spent years living abroad and speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. He enjoys outdoor activities such as running, mountain biking and hiking. Through his travels, Ecija is passionate about discovering new cultures, epicurean adventures and landscapes.
