Andres Jimenez has been appointed Senior Vice President of Restaurant & Bars at Makeready

Jimenez brings a refined lens and global expertise to Makeready's innovative culinary concepts.
Makeready, the hospitality group that concepts, manages, and operates an independent and diverse collection of hotel, restaurant and retail brands, announces the appointment of Andres Jimenez as senior vice president of restaurant & bars. In his new role, Jimenez will work closely with the Makeready restaurant and bar concept and operations teams and will oversee the company's vision rooted in placemaking and future-forward ideation.
Jimenez brings more than 29 years of experience leading high performing multicultural hospitality teams across all continents to his new role. Prior to joining the Makeready team, he held various positions at high-profile brands such including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Marriott International, and Pure Grey.
During his tenure at Pure Grey, the team developed multiple globally licensed venues imagined by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, including J&G Steakhouse in Cairo and Spice Market in San Miguel de Allende. Jimenez oversaw the development of both concepts, provided technical and operational training, and managed owner relations all while opening both venues to international praise. Jimenez's other projects include Market Kitchen and Spice Market in Doha, Qatar, both of which have been recognized as some of Doha's best restaurants, Laurel, in Salt Lake City, Paros, in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, Huma Rooftop Bar & Lounge in Punta Del Este, Uruguay, and Broadway Lounge and Revel & Rye Bar, both located in Times Square, New York City.
A native to Costa Rica, Jimenez travels extensively, taking him to over 75 countries, from China to Egypt to Denmark. His travels, including his studies at The Cordon Bleu in Paris, provided Jimenez with a remote classroom to further develop his approach to leadership, training him to be adaptable and seek first to understand.
