Tony Leonardi has been appointed as Chef de Cuisine at Carna by Dario Cecchini, at SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences
Carna by Dario Cecchini, the SLS Dubai's popular contemporary steakhouse has welcomed chef Tony Leonardi as chef de cuisine. With an impressive culinary background, Leonardi brings with him a wealth of experience accumulated over the course of his career.
Born and raised in the culinary capital of Paris, France, Leonardi's journey in the world of gastronomy began at the age of 18. His path has seen him work alongside some of the industry's most respected mentors and master chefs, including Christian Etchebest, Yves Camdeborde, and Jean Francois Piege.
In 2007, he started his professional career as a commis apprentice at Le Troquet Christian Etchebest Bistro restaurant. Over the years, his dedication and talent earned him the position of chef de partie in 2010.
During this time, he also studied for a bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Culinary Arts at the prestigious Médéric Ecole Hôtelière de Paris.
Continuing to refine his skills, Leornadi went on to work in highly regarded establishments such as Le Relais Saint Germain restaurant in Paris.
His career took an exciting turn when he had the opportunity to be part of multiple award-winning restaurants across Paris, including the renowned Jean Francois Piege Restaurant & Brasserie (Thoumieux).
In 2018, he joined the prestigious Ritz Hotel Paris as part of the team at L'Espadon, a highly-decorated restaurant. Driven by a desire to explore new opportunities, Leonardi ventured into private dining as a personal chef, ultimately becoming an F&B consultant providing guidance to new businesses and developing innovative recipes in both Dubai and Paris.
In his new role at Carna by Dario Cecchini, the chef plans to continue pushing boundaries drawing on his technical abilities, expertise, and "deep passion for exceptional ingredients".
