Cem Akşahin has been promoted to Executive Assistant Manager at Raffles Doha
Cem Akşahin is now Raffles Doha's executive assistant manager, a promotion for the long-time F&B department expert. Akşahin has been part of the hotel during its pre-opening phase, serving as director of F&B since November 2021.
In his new role, he will put his F&B knowledge to use still. Akşahin oversees a diverse portfolio of seven restaurants and lounges, including the Italian restaurant Alba by Enrico Crippa, the hotel's signature bar Blue Cigar, Acoustic Music Penthouse, Aqua Lounge, L'Artisan and the city's afternoon tea lounge, Malaki. In addition to managing these dining establishments, he is responsible for overseeing banquet operations of the majestic Katara Hall and all the event and meeting spaces at Raffles Doha.
Prior to Qatar, he was a director of food and beverage at Raffles Istanbul where he oversaw seven restaurants and lounges. He also launched the hotel's new Spanish concept restaurant Arola by Sergio Arola, the contemporary Asian concept 'Isokyo' and the famous Raffles Long Bar.
Earlier in his career, he was director of banquets at Raffles Dubai. He has also worked with the world-famous Dorchester in London as a chef at Alian Ducasse's Grill.
