Wojtek Orlewicz has been appointed as Complex Director of Rooms at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre

Long-time UAE hotelier Wojtek Orelwicz has been appointed complex director of rooms for Marriott's Le Meridien Dubai cluster. This puts Orelwicz in charge of 1,247 keys across Le Meridien Dubai, Le Meridien Fairway, Aloft & Element Airport and Aloft & Element Al Mina Hotels.

A role within the cluster's senior team, Orelwicz will also be expected to develop and train more than 340 staff reporting into him.

Hailing from Poland and first working at Hyatt Regency in Warsaw, Orlewicz came to Dubai first in 2006 - working as a guest relations manager at JW Marriott Dubai (closed in 2019). In 2009, he worked at Grosvenor House - a Starwood-managed hotel at the time - as front office manager.

Leaving Marriott, he joined Rotana as guest services manager at Al Murooj Rotana, promoted to director of front office over time. In 2016, he joined Media Rotana Hotel as EAM and then headed to Saadiyat Rotana in the same position.

His most recent role prior to Le Meridien Dubai was at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah where he was director of rooms.
