Tony Coveney has been appointed as General Manager at St. Regis Red Sea Resort and Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve
The general manager overseeing Marriott's two Red Sea resorts in Saudi Arabia has been revealed.
Tony Coveney will lead The St. Regis Red Sea Resort and Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve as multi-property general manager.
Both hotels are expected to open before the end of 2023.
Coveney joined the gigaproject hotels from The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow, where he was general manager. Before that, Coveney was GM of Ritz-Carlton Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
He also spent close to four years as hotel manager of Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh. Coveney's time with Four Seasons dates back to 2003, when he joined the brand's Dublin hotel as sales manager.
In 2006, he became front office manager of the same hotel, rising the ranks for the next seven years to acting F&B director. He has also been director of rooms for Four Seasons in Sydney, and hotel manager in Athens.
Tony Coveney is an alumnus of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology – Class of 2001.
