Marcello Ventisei has been appointed as General Manager at Voco Grand Central Glasgow
Voco Grand Central Glasgow is excited to introduce their new general manager, Marcello Ventisei. Under the management of IHG, Marcello will supervise 233 guest rooms, the hotel's restaurant, its Champagne bar, and several meeting and event venues.
This iconic hotel, positioned as a landmark in Glasgow Central station since 27 June 1883, will now benefit from Marcello's deep-rooted Glasgow origins and nearly 30 years of expertise in the hospitality and tourism sector. Beginning his illustrious journey at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, Marcello has undertaken significant leadership responsibilities with eminent brands such as De Vere, Macdonald, and RBH Hotels.
The hotel itself recently celebrated a massive rebrand and makeover, making its grand debut under the IHG banner in 2021. It proudly stands as one of the inaugural voco hotels to launch in Scotland. This vast renovation revamped 233 rooms, the reception, and meeting areas, blending the hotel's historical allure and majestic presence with audacious branding, presenting a unique new persona.
