Joseph Amerio has been appointed as Hotel Manager at Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas

The Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Amerio as Hotel Manager. Working with the operational team that supports General Manager Steve Molnar, Joseph will oversee day-to-day resort operations and uphold the Sheraton's reputation as Port Douglas' premium accommodation provider.

A seasoned industry professional and longtime local to Tropical North Queensland, Joseph comes to the resort after spending three years as General Manager of Mantra Portsea in Port Douglas, where he led the team through a $1 million refurbishment project and oversaw the implementation of high-impact sustainability initiatives. Prior to this, Joseph held positions throughout Australia, including in Airlie Beach as Operations Manager and General Manager in Canberra.

Raised just north of Cairns, Joseph called the Tropical North home from the age of five, giving him an in-depth understanding of the region. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing and Management from James Cook University in Townsville before his first hospitality role on the Cairns Esplanade. Joseph enjoys all things outdoors, including scuba diving, camping and fishing.
