Bob Gunkel has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Sonesta International Hotels Corporation

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Sonesta), the 8th largest hotel company in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Bob Gunkel as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Gunkel has most recently been an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Georgia State University in Atlanta, where he teaches Corporate Finance to MBA and Master of Finance graduate students. Among many notable achievements, Mr. Gunkel was previously Chief Financial Officer for the Americas region for IHG, where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of 4,300 franchised, managed, owned and joint venture hotels. In addition, Mr. Gunkel has held senior positions in asset management, financial planning and analysis, hotel development and financial reporting.
