Mirza Ibracevic has been promoted to director of recreation across six Marriott hotels in Dubai owned by Wasl.
Ibracevic will now oversee an expanded portfolio of responsibilities, transitioning from Natural Elements Gym & Spa at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre to managing six Wasl-owned properties, including Le Meridien Fairway, Aloft & Element Al Mina, and Aloft & Element Airport. In total, he will be in charge of four gyms and eight pools.
He started his journey with Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre in February 2022, when he managed the operations of Natural Elements, expanded recreational offerings, introduced new programs, and improved the overall experience for guests and gym members.
Ibracevic began his career in the Middle East as the Spa & Recreation Supervisor at Crowne Plaza Doha before moving to the Holiday Inn Doha ad then Renaissance Downtown Hotel (now a St. Regis). His career progressed at Melia Hotels, where he advanced to the position of Spa & Recreation Manager.
In the past 12 months, Ibracevic has secured exclusive contracts for three new sports academies, formed a retail partnership with GNC, and finalised multiple corporate leisure agreements for both Natural Elements and the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel property, encompassing its 16 F&B venues to target a new audience demographic.
