Rebecca Billups has been appointed as National Director of Sales at WaterWalk

Lodging industry innovator WaterWalk today announced the appointment of Rebecca Billups to National Director of Sales - STAY. Having started her career in the extended-stay industry more than 25 years ago, Billups brings extensive experience in corporate sales, general management and training to WaterWalk. Billups' experience also includes working under WaterWalk's late founder and extended-stay pioneer Jack DeBoer in the early days of her career.

In this role strategically created as a part of WaterWalk's growth plan, Billups will be responsible for proactively soliciting qualified national accounts in order to create partnerships across the WaterWalk portfolio. In addition, she will represent the brand at key industry events, continuing to share the unique positioning WaterWalk holds within the hospitality industry.

Throughout her career, Billups has led sales teams within some of the country's leading extended-stay brands, starting with Candlewood Suites in 1997 where she spearheaded corporate and local sales. She then managed the original Residence Inn location in Wichita, Kansas, strengthening team relationships and enhancing the customer service experience. Most recently, Billups' applied her strategic sales experience to the dynamic landscape of the broadcast media industry, overseeing successful sales initiatives across various regional media outlets.

Billups resides in WaterWalk's headquarters of Wichita, Kansas with her family, where she has served on numerous nonprofit boards including the Amazing Grace Discipleship Ministries and Firm Foundations Ministries, in addition to being a past committee chairman for Leukemia & Lymphoma Woman of the Year and the Susan G. Komen team captain. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Southwestern College.
