Ryan Phillips has been named the general manager of TownePlace Suites by Marriott Denver West/Federal Center. Located at 800 Tabor St, Golden, CO, the hotel is managed by Spire Hospitality.
Phillips will oversee all hotel operations, including administration and revenue management. He will also spearhead the property's mission to provide outstanding guest service. He will report to Steve Neth, Spire Hospitality's vice president of operations.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Denver West/Federal Center is a 106-suite property located near Denver Federal Center, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and Coors Brewery. It offers guests complimentary breakfast, fully equipped kitchens, a laundry facility, and a fitness center. The property is also pet-friendly.
Phillips brings 14 years of hospitality industry experience to his new role. He joined Spire in 2021 as the front office manager for the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Tech Center North, where he focused on team building and staff retention while navigating pandemic-related industry shifts.
Prior to his tenure with Spire, Phillips held several operations roles of increasing responsibility at the Hyatt Regency Denver before serving as the operations supervisor at Hotel Teatro, also in Denver. His first hotel job was as a front desk agent for the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.
Phillips earned a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University's School of Business. After graduating, he journeyed to Thailand to teach English. This year abroad sparked his interest in travel and tourism, setting the stage for his hospitality career.
