Laurens Zieren has been appointed as the General Manager of Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, a luxurious oceanfront haven situated in Fort Lauderdale with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean.
With over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, including two decades spent in various roles across Europe, Zieren brings a wealth of expertise to his new position. Prior to joining Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, he served as the general manager at The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton in Florida. His career highlights also include being part of the opening team at Disneyland in Paris, serving as the general manager of New York Hilton Midtown, and holding the position of regional vice president at a prominent hospitality management company.
Zieren's leadership style emphasizes fostering a strong recognition of hotel culture and maintaining close connections with both his team and guests through his "management-by-walking" approach. Fluent in four languages - German, French, Dutch, and English - he has been actively involved in hotel associations across the United States and Europe, including New York, Illinois, and Ireland.
Originally hailing from The Hague in the Netherlands, Zieren graduated from Haagland with a degree in Hotel/Motel Administration and Management. Now, he is set to bring his extensive leadership experience to Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, overseeing its 374 all-suite accommodations, diverse culinary offerings, rooftop pool, spa, fitness center, and expansive meetings and events space while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of North Fort Lauderdale Beach.
