InterContinental Residences and Crowne Plaza Business Bay have appointed Mohamed Mahmoud as cluster general manager.

Mahmoud boasts an impressive track record and extensive experience in luxury hospitality, spanning over two decades with IHG. In his previous role as pre-opening general manager for the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & SPA, Mahmoud showcased his proficiency in aligning with UAE expansion objectives and capitalizing on current hospitality trends.

His focus on wellness travel, adventure, culture, and heritage-inspired experiences consistently surpassed guest expectations and optimised resort performance. Mahmoud joined IHG in 1999 and has demonstrated resilience, drive, and a goal-oriented approach throughout his career. He is recognised for building focused, high-performing, and collaborative teams, setting exemplary standards, and leading by example.

Mahmoud's leadership roles have included overseeing pre-opening as a general manager across various flagship InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in the region, such as InterContinental Durrat Al Riyadh, InterContinental Resort & Spa Ras Al Khaimah, and serving as hotel manager of InterContinental Fujairah. This demonstrates his ability to identify and exploit opportunities for revenue enhancement and market positioning.
